Healthy Eating Tips For Those Who Need it Quick & Easy

In a rush to get out the door, but need some inspiration for the day? My healthy eating tips are a quick refresher for those times you simply can't sit down and read through it all (even though I KNOW you want to!) ;)

I've had times in my life when I was so bewildered about what was "good" for me to eat, that I gave up. On one of these occasions I decided to fast until I had clarity! It only lasted a day and a half, until I realized that it was a bit absurd, and definitely NOT a healthy mindset (nor a healthy reason to fast)!

On another occasion I decided an Atkins-like approach would be good for my energy levels and weight. I ate only meat & veggies for a couple of weeks, until I began to crave carbs like I'd never experienced before. I figured something was out of balance.

There are many more stories in the vein, and writing all of this now, I notice how it seems to be a mild form of insanity, or at the very least, an obsession. While I like to think that I have a much more sane and balanced approach now, I certainly admit that food is an obsession for me. I love it! And while I'm grateful for all my past diets & experiences, I'm very happy that they're in the past! For quite a few years now, my focus has simply been on healthy eating, and this includes a healthy mindset. I aim for balance and moderation, instead of sudden extremes.

Eating is something so basic and primal to all of us, it sometimes seems a wonder it doesn't come more naturally. But in today's busy world, with all the mixed messages out there, especially all the confusion about diets & what is truly healthy, it makes sense that we may need assistance.

Healthy eating tips are one of those little things you can do to remind yourself. Feel free to print my eating tips out, and keep them near you - on the fridge, on your desk at work, maybe in your car! Add to them, use the ones that work well for you, change the ones that don't. This is your journey - I'm only here to help clarify when you need it!
